Cosmetic Treatments
Teeth Whitening
-
Teeth whitening is a straightforward treatment designed to brighten your teeth to your desired shade. We offer both Boutique and Boutique B1 guarantee systems, allowing you the flexibility to choose the treatment that best aligns with your smile goals.
-
Teeth whitening uses a whitening agent, such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, to penetrate the tooth’s surface enamel. In this home whitening system, you'll use custom trays made at our practice, into which the whitening gel is applied. Typically, the trays are worn overnight for about two weeks. This method breaks down discoloured molecules, leaving your teeth whiter and brighter. Additionally, whitening can be applied inside the root canal for teeth with diseased roots.
-
The results of teeth whitening depend on which treatment you choose, your lifestyle habits, and the initial shade of your teeth. While we can’t guarantee how much brighter your teeth will be, we do know that our patients are consistently pleased with their results. Please note that tooth-coloured fillings and replacement teeth won’t change colour with these treatments.
-
Results can vary from patient to patient, lasting anywhere from three months to three years. Some temporary sensitivity to hot or cold foods and drinks may occur for a few days after whitening, but this effect is temporary.
Veneers
-
Veneers are a popular cosmetic dentistry solution for enhancing your smile. They effectively address concerns like cracked or chipped teeth, overlapping teeth, discoloration and small gaps when orthodontic treatment isn't the best option. Typically composed of ultra-thin layers of ceramic material, they are bonded to the natural tooth, although they can also be made from composite materials. Advances in technology ensure that veneers look highly natural, closely mimicking the tooth's surface, colour and the way light reflects off it.

-
Veneers are relatively durable and can last up to 10 years with the appropriate oral care and hygiene.
Crowns
-
A crown is designed to 'cap' a tooth that has been damaged as a result of decay or injury. By fitting over the natural tooth, crowns help restore function to damaged teeth and are designed to look and feel like a natural tooth.
-
Before proceeding with any treatment, we will discuss all your options and the recommended approach to ensure you feel fully confident in decisions regarding your smile and oral health. We may suggest a crown if your tooth is damaged or if it’s necessary for the success of another treatment, such as with bridges or root canals, to restore full function. Crowns are generally recommended when damage is too extensive for a simple filling. The compromised part of the tooth is carefully removed, and the crown is then bonded to the remaining tooth structure.
Implants
-
Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing, damaged, or extracted teeth. Unlike removable dentures, they provide enhanced reliability, a natural feel, and long-lasting strength.
-
The titanium implant is carefully placed in the jawbone, with a porcelain crown added on top to restore function, enhance appearance, and boost smile confidence. The treatment takes place over several months: after a CT scan to assess bone quality, the implant is placed into the jawbone, under local anaesthetic. The surrounding bone then fuses with the implant over approximately three months. Following this, a final impression is taken, and the permanent crown is fitted about two weeks later. During the healing period, a temporary denture or bridge can be used.
Adult Cosmetic Orthodontics
-
CFast is a cosmetic orthodontic system tailored for adults to correct misaligned teeth. This gentle, non-invasive treatment focuses on straightening only the teeth that are visible when you smile. As a cost-effective cosmetic procedure, CFast realigns your teeth to enhance their appearance and give your smile a makeover. It is often carried out before SmileFast Composite Bonding to minimise the need for tooth structure removal and achieve optimal cosmetic results.
-
With its tooth-coloured wire and clear brackets, CFast is very discreet and hardly noticeable. The clear braces work gradually to align your teeth, helping you achieve a healthy, confident, and beautiful smile.
You will need to visit the dentist monthly for short appointments to adjust the wire and track your progress. After finishing your CFast treatment, you'll receive a removable retainer to keep your teeth in their new position.
White Fillings
-
White fillings are designed to perform like traditional amalgam fillings while blending seamlessly with your natural teeth. Made of composite material, these fillings are both highly durable and natural-looking, leaving behind a photo-ready finish that patients love.
-
The main benefit of white dental fillings over traditional amalgam fillings is their natural appearance, which allows them to blend seamlessly with your teeth. Additionally, because they are bonded directly to the tooth, they can leave the tooth stronger and more protected from further damage or decay.
-
Replacing older amalgam fillings with white fillings is increasingly popular for both aesthetic and health reasons. Many patients opt for this change for aesthetic reasons, while others choose white fillings because they are mercury-free.
-
The durability of your fillings depends on your overall health, dental hygiene, and how well you care for your teeth. With diligent care, including regular check-ups and hygiene appointments, white fillings can last up to 10 years.
